The following steps are generally followed for Factory testing of LV Switchboards:
Stage Inspection of Mounting Plate Assembly, Busbar Assembly &, Door Component Assembly
Check Paint thickness & paint texture of enclosures
Physical Inspection of overall dimensions, wiring layout, quality of wire-lug crimping etc
Test fasteners of busbar joints with calibrated Torque Wrenches
Check quality of busbar sleeving and busbar contacts
Check feeder, equipment & terminal identification with proper name plates, labels and stickers
Check alignment of doors, door handles, locks, drive handles etc
Check sufficiency of Shrouding of live terminals
Carry out Continuity tests
Carry out Primary Injection tests
Carry out Secondary Injection Tests of ACBs, MCCBs, Relays, where necessary
Carry out Knee point testing of CTs, where necessary
Check Creepage distances where applicable
Check clearances between metal and live parts / fasteners etc
Carry out Di-electric tests
Carry out Insulation Resistance Tests upto 1000V
Carry out Control Logic and Operational tests
Carry out Functional tests
Carry out Simulation tests where applicable or necessary
